Fall Fashion

The cold weather is officially here and all I want to wear are all the cozy things. That includes cardigans of all lengths and styles. Oversized cardigans are great because they can replace outerwear on those mild fall days but can also be a great layering piece when it gets colder. I am sharing 10 oversized cardigans at all price points in today’s post as well as styling tips on how to wear them to for any and all occasions.

I know, I know – it feels like fall just started and here I am already sharing Thanksgiving outfit ideas! But it’s one month away and the early bird gets the cute Thanksgiving outfit, right? Or something like that! There are a ton of different styles that you could choose depending on where you are going so I thought I would round up 10 outfit ideas to wear for Thanksgiving that feel comfortable but look polished and put together.

I have so many holiday pieces in my closet from J.Crew that I purchased years ago that I still love and wear. So many of their items are timeless and can be worn year after year. There are so many great pieces on the site right now but these are the ones that really stood out to me! 

Fall fashion is my absolute favorite but it’s often priced higher than spring/summer fashion so finding chic pieces under $200 takes some hunting and browsing. This round up has a bit of everything: clothing, jewelry, bags, shoes, wardrobe essentials, etc!

One trend I’ve been seeing everywhere this fall is the scarf coat. Not completely new but more brands are putting out their version of this coat and I love it. I find the coat/scarf combo in the same fabric so chic yet still functional.

There is something so chic about a cape or poncho styled with a fall outfit. This year some brands are adding cape details to trench coats and barn jackets which is so unique! A classic cape or poncho is always timeless but adding a cape detail onto a regular piece of outerwear is really a new way to experiment with this trend.

Fall is my favorite season for everything but especially for fashion. I love fall fashion more than any other time of year. Transitioning to fall outfits is one of the best ways to welcome the season. Fall fashion feels fresh and is a great time to try different chic outfits and trends.

As someone who has always had a strong love of fashion, keeping up with trends feels second nature to me. When I was a teenager, I would rip out pages from Vogue and W each season and plaster my cork board with all the runway trends seen during fashion week. I didn’t necessarily wear them all but I loved knowing what they were and would work some into my outfits in a way that felt authentic to me.

Fall is always thought of as a time for cozy sweaters, jeans, leggings, trousers – most fall outfits seem to center around staying all cozy and bundled up.  One of my favorite things about living in NYC for so many years was all the fall street style I would see. So many layers, textures, colors – it was fashion heaven! LOL
