I hope everyone is having a great holiday season, and had a wonderful Christmas if you celebrated! Stan and I took these pictures a few weeks ago and I am already sad that all the festive decor will be coming down soon. I told my mom yesterday that next year I am putting up my decorations at the beginning of November so I can get a full 2 months enjoyment out of it. Ha!
Getting dressed in the winter can be so dreary (waaaay too many layers) so I try to find pieces that are more interesting so they jazz up a basic out a bit more. The lace sleeves sold me on this sweater immediately, and I loved that it works for a casual look as I’ve shown above but I would also wear it with a midi skirt or cute a-line style to dress it up. And while the neckline of the sweater is crewneck, I threw on this infinity scarf to add some warmth and I love how it instantly creates a new shape. My only advice when wearing infinity scarves is to pair them with something that doesn’t have any bulk around the neck or shoulders. Sadly as it gets colder and I have to wear bigger coats, I have to pack my infinity scarves away because it’s way to uncomfortable to have them wrapped around my neck under a coat. They work best with a light jacket, or sweater so it doesn’t feel like you are being strangled by your scarf. LOLĀ
It’s a bummer that the holidays are coming to an end but the upside is all the great holiday sales! Some of the most notable items that caught my eye already are this suede moto jacket, this long tunic sweater, my favorite faux leather moto jacket, these distressed black jeans, my favorite ankle boots from this season and these classic tees that are great for layering.
