I test a ton of beauty products on a daily basis but many of them never make it into my regular beauty rotation. But there are a handful that stand out each month so I thought it was time to do another post on New-to-Me Beauty Products I’m Loving. Here are 10 products I’ve been using and loving these past few weeks and months.
10 New-To-Me Beauty Products I’m Loving
LYS Triple Fix Blurring Skin Tint Foundation Stick
This is a 3-in-1 stick foundation that acts a serum, primer and foundation all in one. I’ll be honest and say that I think that claim is going a touch too far but I do LOVE this foundation stick. I would agree that it acts as a primer and foundation in one because it is so long-wearing but I still think it is important to apply skincare underneath. It’s a buildable formula that can give a sheer skin like tint or be built up to a medium/full coverage. It’s creamy, smooth and keeps my skin looking the same at the end of the day as when I applied it first thing in the morning.
The LYS Foundation Stick gives a true natural skin finish. Not too dewy, not too matte. It does manage to be the perfect blend of both to leave the skin looking natural and radiant in a subtle way. It stays looking natural throughout the day and doesn’t get increasingly shiny or dewy. My skin type is closer to dry and slightly mature so I wasn’t sure I would like something without a glow but I absolutely LOVE this. And the blurring aspect to it is truly impressive. It really does give a smoothing filter like finish to the skin.
Versed Good Defense Daily Sunscreen SPF 50
I’ve had this sunscreen for a few months and was waiting to finish something else before I began testing this. I have a ton of favorite sunscreen formulas that I rotate between regularly and this SPF is now added into that rotation. It is gorgeous and feels amazing on the skin. The formula is very nourishing but still feels lightweight on the skin. The finish is a touch glowy but not from any tint to it but more from the skincare component. This sunscreen feels like a glazy serum in the best possible way. As someone with dry skin, I love a moisturizing SPF formula because it is the last skincare product I put on before makeup. My skin is so nicely prepped for foundation when using this and doesn’t cause my makeup to separate throughout the day.
Aestura Moisturizing Cream Mist
I use a facial mist in my skincare routine every single day – morning and evening. Some feel like nothing special while others really do add something to my skincare routine. This Moisturizing Cream Mist is one of the creamiest mists I’ve ever tried. I have dry, mature skin so I am always looking for intensely nourishing products to add into my routine. Formulated with ceramides to support the skin barrier, this feels instantly comforting on the skin BUT it does leave a slight film. It doesn’t feel like a typical facial mist that absorbs instantly or dissipates a few seconds after spraying it. This leaves a creamy and nourishing finish that I absolutely love. It doesn’t affect any other skincare I put on top but I find this to be one of the most effective facial mists for dry skin. Many simply hydrate but this cream mist provides so much more.
Naturium The Calmer Ceramide Body Wash
Clearly by the products I’m sharing in this post, I love rich and nourishing skincare products. For the face AND for the body. I have tried a few Naturium body washes and there have only been two that stand out to me as favorites. First is the Glow-Getter Body Wash which is an oil that transforms into a decadent creamy lather that moisturizes the skin. None of the other Naturium body wash formulas impressed me until this Ceramide Body Wash. Especially going into the colder months when my skin gets so dry, this body wash is creamy perfection. Formulated with ceramides, colloidal oatmeal and cocoa butter, this plush body wash not only moisturizes but soothes and calms the skin. Read my full Naturium product reviews here.
REMI by Rosie Jane eau de parfum
I LOVE a citrus fragrance so I knew instantly that this new launch from by Rosie Jane would smell amazing. I usually like sweet citrus scents but Remi is more of a fresh citrus which I surprisingly ended up loving. With notes of Bright Mandarin, Fresh Cardamom and White Amber, this falls under the woodsy/earthy fragrance category. On me this smells fresh and clean – perfect for anytime of the year.
Cocokind Electrolyte Water Cream
Gel creams and water creams are not typically my favorite textures to use because they never feel hydrating or moisturizing enough for my dry skin. But the Electrolyte Water Cream is one of the few exceptions – it is like a drink of water for the skin! The formula feels lightweight and comfortable on the skin but the deep hydration it gives is next level. It contains an electrolyte blend that supports the skin barrier, helps balance hydration while also controlling shine. If you have oily or combination skin, this is perfect for both morning before your daily SPF or evening as your final step. However, it you have dry or mature skin and are hesitant to branch out from the rich creams, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by this water cream. Read my Cocokind reviews on the blog!
evolvetogether Nutrient-Rich Body Cream
I take my body care very seriously and love a rich nourishing body cream especially in the colder months. But it can’t be too rich or too heavy, must absorb easily and preferably have a scent that doesn’t annoy me. LOL I’m picky in my older years. I immediately fell in love with this body cream because it’s a cream-to-oil formula that literally melts into the skin. The scents are delicate and sophisticated which I love but the texture is truly what impressed me with this cream.
Currentbody Skin LED Multi-Light Mask (discount code: ALITTLEBITCB)
I’ve written about my love for my Currentbody LED masks (face, chest, helmet, etc) many (many) times. It’s made the biggest difference in my skin though the results and progress are slow. This is not the type of product that will produce changes overnight. I have been using my LED masks for 2+ years and consistency is the key with using these. The LED mask I currently use is the one designed to target anti-aging concerns. There is also an LED mask for acne and blemish-prone skin. This newest mask combines the benefits of both masks along with additional features to target other skin concerns. There are 5 different treatment modes in this mask to choose from.
- Anti-Aging mode: for fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness
- Clearing mode: for blemishes and congested skin
- Restoring mode: to soothe sensitivity, redness and inflammation
- Brightening mode: reduces dullness, uneven skin tone and pigmentation
- Complete mode: this gives full spectrum results through facial mapping technology which targets every area of the face individually with wavelengths that are best suited to specific needs
Educated Mess Grow A Pair Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum (discount code: MAREE10)
I have not used a lash growth serum in yearssss because many of them contain prostaglandins which can cause different eye issues. One of the biggest issues is that it can slowly “eat away” (it’s the best way to describe it) at the fat around the lash line ultimately making the lashes appear longer but causing the eye area to look more hollow. Some irritated my eyes horribly too so I decided to stop using them all together. Educated Mess is one of my favorite skincare brands because their formulations are incredibly effective while also being very gentle. I’ve only been testing this lash serum for less than two weeks so I can’t speak to growth yet, but I can say I have NO irritation at all with formula. The founder of Educated Mess specifically wanted to create a lash serum without prostaglandins which is why I decided to give this a try.
Medik8 Advanced Pro Collagen+ Peptide Cream
The Medik8 Advanced Night Ceramide Cream is already a staple in my nighttime skincare routine. I have repurchased it numerous times and love how it nourishes my skin but also addresses anti-aging concerns. This is their newest moisturizer that targets similar issues but with many more added benefits. The Pro Collagen+ Peptide cream is formulated with Medik8’s Growth Factor MiniProtein, NAD+ longevity booster and peptides to boost skin’s natural ability to maintain collagen levels. In addition to helping minimize deep set wrinkles and fine lines, it helps to hydrate, firm and improve elasticity. I would recommend this for mature skin types because you will see better results. For those under 40, I would recommend the Advanced Night Ceramide or the Total Daily Moisture Cream which will be more impactful for your skin.
