Serums may do the heavy lifting in my skincare routine as they are often formulated with higher concentrations of active ingredients, moisturizers are the last thing I put on my skin so I need something that keeps my skin feeling and looking good. I often prefer a rich cream that focus on nourishing the skin, soothing the skin and leaving it well moisturized. There are tons of great options at all price points but the Tatcha Dewy Skin cream definitely sits at the higher end. However, I love the way it makes me skin feel and look so I have repurchased it over and over because of how well it performs for me. What Is Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream?
The Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream is a rich moisturizer designed to provide long-lasting hydration for dry skin and mature skin types. It helps to plump fine lines, seal in moisture and protect the skin from oxidative stress. I personally love it because it really soothes my skin and replenishes it after I use various active ingredients and treatments. I notice that my skin barrier is always stronger and more resilient when I am using this regularly.
What Is In Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream?
It is formulated with hyaluronic acid to help hydrate the skin and allow it to retain moisture longer. Another highlighted ingredient is red-algae which attracts water to plump the look of fine lines. There is also a proprietary complex called Hadasei-3 that softens the skin and provides antioxidant protection from external stressors. A biomimetic squalane lipid blend seals in hydration and japanese purple rice provides pollution protection from free radicals.

The Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream is a luxury product that falls on the higher end of the price spectrum. It is $72 for 50ml.
Skin Types It Is Good For
Because of it’s rich and nourishing formula, this moisturizer is best for those with dry or mature skin types. If you have an oily or combination skin type, I would recommend the Tatcha Water Cream.
Packaging
Tatcha is always known for it’s luxurious packaging and the Dewy Skin Cream is a perfect example of that. It comes with a spatula on the lid that you can use to scoop out product during each use.
When To Use the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream?
Personally, I prefer to use this in the evening as my final step. Especially on the nights that I am using retinol products or exfoliating acids, the dewy skin cream immediately calms and soothes my skin.
Is Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream Worth It?
As someone who has repurchased this moisturizer at least four times over the past few years, I definitely feel the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream is worth it. I use a lot of acids and retinol in my skincare routine and this moisturizer always helps replenish my skin and keep my skin barrier strong. It calms my skin if it is feeling sensitive or reactive and is one of the best plumping hydrating moisturizers I’ve ever tried. For those with dry or mature skin types, I highly recommend trying this if you are in the market for a new moisturizer.

I have less irritation and flakiness after using strong retinols or exfoliating products when I use this moisturizer at the end of my routine. It really helps to nourish my skin and immediately strengthen my skin barrier.
How To Apply Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream
Apply Once a Day
I find that I only need to apply this moisturizer once a day to really get the benefits of how nourishing and replenishing it is.
Use a Pea Sized Amount
You don’t need a large amount to give your skin the benefits of this moisturizer. Use the spatula that it comes with to scoop out a pea-sized amount and that is plenty to cover the entire face.
Use It Consistently
For me, I found that the more I used it the better my skin looked and felt. While I will rotate certain products in and out of my routine, when I am using the Dewy Skin Cream I will use it nearly every night until I finish the jar.
