I’ve always been someone who is overdressed for occasions and will always err on the side of dressing up a bit more rather than dressing down. Even my casual outfits tend to look more elevated because I love to add extra touches to style them in a more put together way. That could mean adding certain accessories, doing my hair/makeup or ensuring all the pieces are free of wrinkles or creases. I feel my best when my outfit is well thought out and put together and it can definitely create a good impression when meeting people for the first time.

While sandal trends come and go each summer, I like to invest in classic styles that I can wear year after year. Here are 10 of the best summer sandals to add to your closet! 

The clear sandal trend took off a few years ago and I am so grateful that it did! Clear sandals have been the answer to so many of my summer outfit shoe problems. I tend to wear more color in the spring and summer but am not going to invest in sandals of all different colors to go with each outfit. Neutrals are fine but even then I have to decide which shades will go with the most looks.

Summer is not my favorite season which I’ve shared many times before but it does lead into my favorite season ever – FALL!! And dressing for fall is what my fashion loving heart lives for so I accept summer much more when I can begin to think of transition outfits to wear.

Though I am a neutral gal at heart, summer date night outfits call for all the bright patterns, eye catching prints and vibrant colors in my opinion. If there is a season to upgrade your wardrobe and incorporate something more bold, summer is the time to do it.
