INNBEAUTY Project Sun Balm SPF 30 ReviewTinted lip balms are trending right now and there are so many available formulas to choose from! INNBEAUTY Project is a new to me brand that I’ve discovered this past year and have really been enjoying so many of their products. They just released their own tinted lip balms but the bonus is that these contain SPF! Which is a great addition especially for summer. While many other tinted lip balms deliver just a hint of color, these are richly pigmented. There are currently three shades available and all of them are neutral and easy to wear for everyday. I am loving the formula so I do hope they release a few more colors in the future because I would love a vibrant cherry or poppy color! Here’s a more in-depth review on the formula and swatches of them on my arm and lips.

INNBEAUTY Project Sun Balm SPF 30 Review

INNBEAUTY Project Sun Balm SPF 30 ReviewI do feel like every brand is launching their version of a tinted lip balm but as someone who loves the concept, I want to try them all. LOL INNBEAUTY Project is a brand that formulates effective products that don’t break the bank. I’m a HUGE fan of their Extreme Cream already and their Mineral Sun Glow is one of my all time favorite glowy sunscreens. Their new Sun Balm SPF 30 tinted lip balms can already be added to the list of products I love from INNBEAUTY. They are designed to be a nourishing lip balm that treats the lips while also protecting them from UVA and UVB rays.

Price Point

The entire INNBEAUTY Project line is a mid-range priced line and the sun balms definitely fall in this category. They are $24 for .6 oz.

Shade Range

For now, there are only three colors available. Pink, Latte and Rosy Brown which are all natural and perfect to wear for everyday.

Pigment

These are much more pigmented than a majority of the tinted lip balms I already own. You can see from the swatches below that the color payoff is intense. Since these are neutral shades, they look a tad less intense on the lips which already have a natural color to them. But they can definitely be worn alone or just with a lip liner since they provide such great pigment.

Longevity

Because the pigment is more intense and the formula is on the thicker side, I find these to last longer than many of my other tinted lip balms. The shine settles down after a few hours but the color still remains without needing a touchup. These definitely impressed me!

Formula

The texture of these lip balms are on the thicker side and almost feel like that have “grip” to them when on the lips. This is definitely what I feel contributes to how long-lasting they are. The sun protection ingredient is non-nano zinc oxide which provides broad spectrum protection from UVA and UVB rays. In addition to that, there is squalane and jojoba oil to moisturize and mango + shea butter to help soothe and condition.

INNBEAUTY Project Sun Balm SPF 30 Swatches

INNBEAUTY Project Sun Balm SPF 30 Swatches Something to note is the arm swatches that I share in this photo were with one swipe of color. I squeezed out a tiny bit onto my arm and spread it around and the color payoff is nearly opaque. Out of all three shades, I wear Pink the most because it closely mimics my natural lip color. I have also been applying it over more intense lip shades to sheer them out a bit and add some shine. Latte and Rosy Brown are gorgeous neutrals that will look great on a ton of different skin tones. While they are glossy, they aren’t too shiny or too glass-like on the lips. They give a healthy bit of moisture while still feeling creamy and comfortable. Overall, I am a huge fan of these and think they are a great tinted lip balm option for those interested!
