Lip products are probably my favorite makeup product which is evident by the sheer number of lip products that I own. And even though most of them are in the same color family, they are ALL DIFFERENT. Ha! While I sometimes enjoy a matte lip product, I am more drawn to a glossy or creamy finish. Lip oils are a slightly newer formula to emerge over the past few years and I have become quite the fan.
The difference between a lip oil and lip gloss often is the addition of added skincare ingredients into a lip oil that help to nourish, hydrate and sometimes heal the lips while also delivering a gorgeous pigment of color. When lip oils first launched they were positioned as a more intensive treatment for the lips often to be worn at night or when the lips needed extra care. But now lip oils are one of my favorite products to wear everyday with my makeup.
The TirTir My Glow Lip Oils occupy a unique position in the lip oil category since they come in a few different shades (though with little pigment) and also provide intensive treatment benefits for the lips. As with so many Korean beauty products, there is an underlying skincare element to everything. Even makeup products are formulated with ingredients meant to treat and improve the skin. From the first time I tried these, I could feel that these were a more nourishing lip oil formula than anything I had tried before. I thought I would do a full honest review on the formula, what I like about it and whether I think it is worth it or not.
TirTir Lip Oil Review
TirTir has become a favorite go-to brand over the past year after falling in love with so many of their skincare and makeup products. While I wasn’t expecting much when I first tried the TirTir My Glow Lip Oils since I already have a ton in my collection, their cushiony formula and intense hydration felt immediately different. It coated the lips without feeling heavy or sticky. And the different scents in each one were less artificial and more pleasant.
What is TirTir Lip Oil?
The TirTir lip oil is a richly hydrating lip oil that is designed to give the lips a glossy radiance while helping to hydrate and protect. A mixture of a skincare and makeup hybrid product in one – there are a limited amount of shades each with a specific purpose. This isn’t like other lip oil formulas that offer 40 shades (ok maybe not that many but more than 4 LOL) and are seen a your primary lip color for the day. The TirTir My Glow Lip Oil shades are meant to enhance your natural lip color and give them a glass-like finish without feeling sticky or tacky. Here is a quick breakdown of each shade and what it is designed to do:
Clear Honey Lip Oil – This is the one designed to be a treatment product and can be used as a sleeping mask for the lips. It contains honey to help soothe and nourish.
Rosy Lip Oil – Out of all four, the Rosy lip oil provides the most pigment, though it is still only a slight tint. The tint is supposed to give your lips a healthy rosy glow.
Mint Lip Oil – As the name suggests, this is a minty formula that feels cooling and refreshing. Slightly tingly but not uncomfortable.
Lavender Lip Oil – The addition of lavender extract in this provides a soothing benefit to the formula. The purple color is from natural lavender pigments. But it does not add too much color payoff to the lips.

This is an incredibly nourishing formula made with both jojoba seed oil and vitamin e to help protect and hydrate the lips while still giving them a glassy shine.

Pros of TirTir My Glow Lip Oil
Nourishing formula – This lip oil formula is incredibly hydrating and a true treatment for the lips. It adds a gorgeous shine but isn’t sticky or irritating in any way.
Safe for sensitive lips – If you struggle with lip oil formulas that irritate your lips, this may be a great option.
Cons of TirTir My Glow Lip Oil
Limited shade range – If you are wanting a lip oil to wear as your daily lip color and looking for a wide variety of shades, this would not be for you. The 4 shades available all serve a purpose in formulation and enhancement to your natural lip color.
Availability – There are a few places to purchase the lip oil from. But it’s not as widely available in the U.S. as other American brands. Also if you are not as familiar with Korean beauty sites, you may be hesitant to purchase from them. Unfamiliarity with the brand – Even though Korean beauty and skincare in increasing in popularity in the U.S., many people are still hesitant to try products from brands they may never have heard of. In fact, when I first shared a review of the TirTir cushion foundation, a reader sent me a direct message asking if TirTir was a reputable brand because she was worried about purchasing a product from a brand she was not familiar with. TirTir is actually one of the most popular and trusted brands in Korea and has been around for many years.
Is TirTir Worth It?
I definitely think these lip oils are worth it as is the rest of the line. The price point is incredibly affordable for a nourishing and beautifully hydrating formula.

TirTir Collagen Lifting Eye Cream
The TirTir Collagen Lifting Eye Cream is an eye cream formulated to build collagen, erase fine lines and strengthen the skin. It contains plant-based collagen that helps soften deep wrinkles and fine lines. While also building a shield on the skin that allows it to retain moisture. The TirTir Ceramic Milk Ampoule is a 3-in-1 milky serum designed to provide skin barrier support, deep hydration and nourishment for the skin. I love a creamy milky serum in my skincare routine so I had high hopes for this. After the first time trying it, I fell in love with the way it made my skin feel and look. Since my skin has progressively been getting drier and slightly more dull looking, I seek out products that help to moisturize my skin but also leave it looking glassy and dewy.
This serum is absolutely perfect for those who love a glowy slightly glazed finish to the skin. I will layer it under a moisturizer most of the time. But it does tone down the glass skin finish it leaves on the skin. But that nourishment and intense hydration is still there. It’s become something I reach for regularly. And I plan to repurchase as soon as I finish the bottle.
TirTir Mask Fit Cushion Foundation
The TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion foundation offers medium to full coverage with a soft satin finish. And I can say that is really spot on with my experience. It’s designed to give you that “glass skin” look that has been popular in Korea for many years. And it is now trending heavily in the US market. Glass skin is the term coined to describe skin that looks like glass. Shiny, smooth and almost translucent in its clarity. This foundation definitely delivers somewhat on this claim for as much as real skin can actually look like glass. This is definitely worth the hype.
A bit of hyperbole but the foundation really does smooth out and hide imperfections in the most amazing way. I have three shades that I’ve been testing. There are just SO many shades to choose from, so it can be a bit daunting. Thankfully, they have mini sizes you can order which are $15.
