I like to embrace new tones in my makeup every season. Fall is my favorite season so I love adding in new lip colors to my everyday makeup looks. I am someone who always loved a nude lip in my 20’s and 30’s but now in my late 40’s, I prefer to wear more color on my lips. So my fall tones are less focused on browns and rich neutrals and more on bright berry and plum shades. Nothing too dark but colors that still give my face some life. Some of these fall lip colors are ones I’ve been wearing for years and some are new additions. If you love the lip colors I wear regularly but want some fall options, here are 7 I would recommend.
The Lip Colors I’ll Be Wearing This Fall

Rhode Peptide Lip Tint in Raspberry Jelly
This is a shade that I NEVER would have reached for years ago but now it’s one of my favorite colors to wear in the fall/winter. It’s a sheer berry tint that adds the perfect pop of color to the lips. Some lip tints offer more hydration than color but this formulation provides. It gives the lips the perfect amount of shine without being too glossy.
Saie Glossybounce High-Shine Hydrating Lip Gloss Oil in Remix
The Saie Glossybounc is a mix between a lip gloss and an oil. It has a bit of slip to it which makes it feel quite nourishing and moisturizing, but isn’t too thin or runny. I always go straight for the pinky nudes and sheer peaches when trying out a new lip formula, but this time I wanted something that was a bit bolder and gave me more color. Remix is one of shimmer glosses and was an instant love from first swipe. It’s a mauve shimmer that is the most perfect deep rose shade which is a great fall option for those that want something a bit lighter than a berry or plum shade.
Westman Atelier HydroBalm Tinted Lipstick in English Rose
If you don’t love a full coverage lipstick and prefer something with just a hint of color, these Westman Atelier HydroBalm lipsticks are definitely worth trying. They give a sheer wash of color (but still enough to show up) and feel incredibly nourishing on the lips. The shade English Rose manages to be the perfect shade of cool toned rose without being too pink.

Tower 28 LipSoftie Hydrating Tinted Lip Treatment Balm in Ube Vanilla
The formula of these tinted lip balms is incredible and makes the lips feel nourished while still delivering a ton of pigment. Ube Vanilla is a deep berry that could look a tad intimidating in the tube but when you apply a sheer layer, it tints the lips with a gorgeous plum berry shade that I adore.
Covergirl Clean Fresh Yummy Gloss Plumper in Encourage-Mint
This has been a favorite for a few years though it’s a plumping formula that uses a cooling sensation instead of those that feel hot on the lips. The feeling is quite intense which does not bother me but it is worth mentioning to those that may be sensitive to this. They also have a strong mint scent which I personally love but as with the plumping effect, it is very noticeable and could irritate those who are sensitive to that. If you are not and want a great lip gloss formula that gives the most glassy and gorgeous finish to the lips and feels quite nourishing, this formula is it! My favorite color is Encourage-mint which is a soft berry shade that gives just enough color.
Kulfi Lassi Lips Staining Lip Oil in First Sari
If you are on the hunt for a long-lasting lip formula, this Kulfi Staining Lip Oil is a must try. It feels like a lip oil but dries down to a stain that lasts all day long. I love wearing it alone or layering it under another gloss. Many lip stains feel drying the longer you wear them, but I don’t experience that with The finish is natural and the shade First Sari is a gorgeous rich berry.
Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm in Ma Puce
Westman Atelier products are an absolute must try for mature skin types. The formulations really impress me while the shade options are absolutely beautiful. This Liquid Lip Balm is a buildable formula that gives great color payoff while feeling weightless on the lips. The shade Ma Puce is the easy to wear rich rosy pink that is perfect for anyone that doesn’t prefer a plum or berry shade for the fall/winter.
