Summer is right around the corner and that means sandal season! I prefer styles that are comfortable, versatile and neutral. I thought I would round up my most worn styles in today’s post. These include old favorites that I have had for years and a few new additions that I know will be staples in my closet. There is a good mix of casual styles, everyday styles and dressy styles though many of these sandals can be worn to a variety of different occasions.
Neutral Summer Sandals
Raye Julie Sandals
These sell out almost every summer but I am so glad they bring them back again each year. I love the low block heel which makes them easy to walk in and the woven fabric adds a bit to texture to whatever outfit I am wearing. They do run a tad bit narrow in the toes but I took my regular size in these.
Raye Jaden Sandals
This is my most recent addition to my summer shoe line-up and my third pair of clear sandals. I wear my clear sandals more than any other shoe in my closet because they lengthen the leg, look great on the feet and go with any outfit! If there is one sandal to buy this summer, make it a pair of clear ones. I liked the woven heel on this one which makes them a bit more unique but the heel height is still low and easy to walk in.
Saint Laurent Tribute Nu Pieds Slide Sandals
These are the sandals I have had the longest and are still one of my favorites. They were a major splurge but honestly I have gotten so much wear out of them over the years that I definitely feel they were worth it. They have held their shape really well and look great on the feet. I can dress them up or down and they are much more comfortable than I imagined they would be.
Tony Bianco Caprice Heels
Another pair of sandals that were a recent purchase and one that I have been trying to get my hands on for nearly a year. LOL They are always sold out and when they come back in stock, they sell out almost immediately. The simplicity of them is what makes them so popular. I have worn them with jeans and with dresses and they look great with both looks. If you want a great wedding guest sandal to wear over and over, get these in whatever neutral color you think you would wear the most. They look amazing dressed up and won’t compete with your dress.
Freedom Moses Slides (my print is no longer available but they have a ton of similar ones)
These sandals have been THROUGH it over the years. LOL They are waterproof and super comfortable so I wear them to the pool, beach, park, running errands – basically I throw them on all summer long. And the price point is under $60 which makes them even better! There are a ton of fun prints but I obviously went with something neutral. I also like how sturdy they are and they have a chunkier sole which I feel more comfortable with when I’m walking around. Sometimes when I wear regular flip flops, I feel like my feet are too close to the ground. LOL A bit weird maybe but after living in NYC for 15 years, I am traumatized from the few times I wore flip flops around the city and my feet were too close to all the yuck. Ha!
Schutz Victorie Slide Sandals
Another pair of clear sandals because I can’t get enough. I have had these for years and they are still what I reach for when I don’t know what sandals to wear. Clear goes with everything and the low block heel makes them super comfortable to wear all day. The clear straps aren’t that tight either and do stretch out a tiny bit over time. I was worried my feet would show sweat through the clear straps but they actually don’t.

Schutz Ariella Sandals
This was the first pair of clear sandals that started it off for me. They look absolutely amazing on the foot, elongate my legs and go with any and all outfits I put with them. The heel is quite high so this is more of a special occasion shoe for me. However, even at this height, they are much more comfortable than many of my other high heel strappy sandals. If you want a higher heel for special occasions/weddings/etc, these are the ones to get!
Jeffrey Campbell Fluxx Sandals
Another pair of sandals that I have had for yearssss and constantly go back to every summer. If I’m being honest, they actually look a tad better on my foot than the Tony Bianco strappy sandals. I think it is the criss cross detail that looks really flattering on the foot and elongates my legs. A great style to dress up or down and they come in a bunch of fun colors too!
Tkees Foundations Matte Sandals
I included a pair of basic flip flops to this roundup but don’t wear these as much as my Freedom Moses sandals. If you want a very simple sandal to dress up or down, these are definitely a great option. The simplicity of them looks beautiful with dresses while also being appropriate for cut off denim shorts and a tank. They are much more delicate looking on the foot which I love and come in a bunch of neutral skin tone colors to choose from.
Target Ankle Strap Sandals
I wanted a very simple black strappy flat sandal for summer and these are perfect. They also have a cushiony memory foam insole which makes them super comfortable to wear all day.
J.Crew Factory Double-Strap Buckle Sandals
If you are planning any summer travels, these double-strap sandals are a great option to bring. They are casual enough to wear with shorts and a tee or dress up a bit with a sundress and straw tote.
Target Two Band Slide Sandals
These are under $15 and feel like you are walking on clouds. They are insanely comfortable and great to throw on for the beach/pool or just to run errands. I have been wearing them non-stop.
Target White Slide Sandals
You can definitely dress these white sandals up or down which is exactly what I was looking for. They feel quite sturdy for the price point and are incredibly comfortable.
Open Edit Kitten Heel Sandals
Kitten heel flip flops are trending right now but to be honest, I didn’t want to spend a ton on the trend. These were $50 and give a nice elevated look to basic flip flops. I like wearing them with flowy linen pants or a maxi skirt.
