I test out a TON of skincare for this blog and have been doing so for more than 13 years. But what products do I consistently repurchase time and time again? There are quite a few actually but they have changed quite a bit over the past few years.
I never gave a second thought to my body care products years ago. My requirements were if it smelled good and the packaging was cute. As I got more into skincare over the past few years, I love how many brands have come out with body products that are meant to take care of the skin on your body with ingredients that are as effective as what you use on your face.
I have loved skincare for so long and enjoy testing out new products and launches. But even to me it can feel overwhelming because the beauty industry is beyond saturated. There are so many brands to choose from and millions of serums, moisturizers, eye creams, cleansers, etc. that all seem to do similar things.
My skin has really shifted from combination and slightly oily in my 30’s to dry and dull in my mid 40’s. I’ve had to rethink my skincare routine and find products that help keep my skin well nourished and also give me a bit of a healthy hydrated glow.
One of my favorite aspects of doing content creation/blogging for a living is getting to try brands that may not have been on my radar if I wasn’t doing this job. And then getting to share my experience with other beauty lovers and introduce them to various brands is the best thing ever.
I love to experiment with new beauty and skincare brands to discover new favorites and innovative formulations. There are so many amazing skincare brands that don’t have the funds or exposure like larger brands do but produce formulas that are some of the best I’ve ever tried.
I like to claim that I am the laziest high maintenance person out there. I want to try and test all the devices and tools with the least amount of effort required. LOL If something is too complicated to set up, to use or to stick with, chances are it won’t be for me.
I’m a long-time lover of all things Tatcha. In fact, I have been reviewing their products on my blog for nearly 10 years. Some things haven’t worked for me. But for the most part I love nearly everything they come out with.
I’ve always enjoyed skincare and made it a priority in my daily routine. This has become more important than ever now that I’m entering my late 40’s and currently in perimenopause.
I’ve slowly over the past year been experimenting more with Korean beauty specifically skincare because the feedback from those using it is always amazing. From the effectiveness to the unique textures to the affordable price points, Korean skincare is truly on another level.
