I’ve slowly started adding more color into my jewelry and thought I would share a roundup of my favorite pieces. Colorful jewelry was a bit intimidating to me at first but I started adding small pieces into my daily looks which felt more doable. Because I have such a neutral closet with tons of basic pieces, adding jewelry with color into my looks was easier than I anticipated. Now I have a nice collection of bright jewelry which adds interest and fun into most of my daily looks.

I’ve been sharing my monthly favorites nearly every month for the past 10+ years but only on video (IG, Tiktok, YouTube). I’ve never shared my favorites in a blog post but thought I would begin doing so in case you ever miss my monthly favorites video. As a long time handbag lover and collector, I have always been comfortable splurging on bags that caught my eye. At one point in my career, I worked for YSL Beauty which was owned by Gucci at the time. The perks to that were getting a huge discount on all the luxury brands under the Gucci ownership umbrella. I bought so many bags because I got such a great discount but even after my discount went away, I purchased some handbags full price because they felt worth the investment. Now handbag pricing at major luxury brands has gotten so outrageous that I can’t see paying these exorbitant pricing for something that I can’t live in or drive. LOL Thankfully it seems like the retail market is beginning to understand this because so many new brands are creating handbags are price points under $1000 and often under $500 without sacrificing quality. 

Over the past year or so, Quince has been gaining in popularity. It’s a brand that many people talk about but there is a bit of a mystique around it. Many consumers question if it’s a good brand. Is it a real brand? Are the products good quality? The brand promises luxury-quality basics at low prices. I’ve had the chance to try numerous products from Quince and can speak to their quality directly and honestly. Denim skirts have been trending for the past few years and it took me a bit to get into it but after seeing so many great styles I finally decided to give it a try. Denim skirts have always been a wardrobe classic but denim midi and maxi styles are particularly having a moment right now. And each season better options have come out and I am loving how versatile they are. It’s easy to style with so many different pieces in your closet because it’s denim first off. Everything goes with denim. Denim jeans, denim jacket, denim skirt – they are all closet staples. They can look great with classic pieces as well as trendy items so there is something for everyone.

Winter can be one of the most monotonous seasons to dress for so it’s the perfect time to expand your sweater collection. Switch things up and add new styles to give your closet a bit of a refresh during a time when it’s so cold and hard to feel inspired by getting dressed each day. I used to get the worst seasonal depression during the cold winter months. I was miserable and felt unmotivated and sad until Spring. But over the past few years, I have completely reframed how I think about winter and the things I do during these months. And as a result, winter has now become my (second) favorite season of the entire year. I really leaned into slowing down and immersing myself in things that make me happy. November and December are the months of giving but I call January the “month of me”. I don’t focus on resolutions or a “fresh start” but rather allow myself to slow down and indulge in anything that brings me joy. I thought I would share the things I do that have really helped me enjoy this season in case you  may need some inspiration for yourself.
