When spring and summer hit, I cannot stay inside. Even if it is just to walk Elmo (my pug) to the dog park, I need to get my fill of sunshine while I can. Living in NYC, winters can be brutal so New Yorkers tend to go a little insane when the good weather finally arrives. Being cooped up in an apartment for 4+ months can make some go a tad stir crazy, ya know?!! This past weekend, Stan and I ventured over to Brooklyn Bridge Park for the morning to walk around and grab brunch. It is truly amazing what they have done with this park and it’s the absolute perfect way to spend a day when you want to wander with no agenda. The view of NYC from the park’s edge is amazing and no one can resist instagramming a shot of the Brooklyn Bridge. Lol. It was a bit chilly so I grabbed a light sweater and scarf, but I am sick of wearing pants and tights so I braved it with these Rag & Bone shorts. They are a bit longer than traditional cut-offs so I find they are great for transitioning from spring to summer and summer to fall. The weather is not completely sandal appropriate so ankle boots had to do, though I wear ankle boots year round, even in the summer! This pair from Isabel Marant was on my wish list for yearrrrrrs, and I finally made the splurge last fall. They are incredibly comfortable and the color goes with just about anything. Once summer fully hits, I can see them with boho dresses, shorts, skirts…..basically anything and everything. Driving down that cost per wear every chance I get.
