Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. The humidity finally broke here and the weather has been absolutely perfect. And the coming week looks even better! There is a giant sunflower field within driving distance from my house so I think Stan and I are going to visit it this week. I have to admit, one of the things that has always made me adore Stan is his willingness to go anywhere and everywhere. From the beginning when we began dating, we were always on the go exploring different parts of NYC, trying every type of restaurant and being a tourist in our own city all the time. We could both wander around for an entire day and never get bored (Stan may get hungry every hour which would be our only obstacle LOL).
Now that it has cooled off a bit, I am more open to wearing jeans. When it gets excruciatingly hot and humid, I cannot bring myself to suffocate my legs in jeans or pants. I wore my favorite white denim last week, but since they are not maternity I had to do the ol’ rubber band trick. This shirt was actually perfect to pair with it because it was long enough to hide my DIY waist extender. I’ve never been a huge fan of peplum – mainly because whenever I wear the style, I feel it makes me look pregnant. Fast forward to the present day when I tried this top on and thought “this works perfectly now that I’m pregnant!” And then of course there was the added bonus of it being striped. #stripesfanforever I’m not sure I’ll be able to do the rubber band trick for very much longer so I am happy to squeeze a few more wears out while I can.
Shirt – J. Crew (also loving this peplum top and this embroidered number) | Jeans – Current Elliott (not maternity) | Bag – Hat Attack | Bracelet – Alexis Bittar | Sunglasses – Fendi (old but similar here) | Shoes – Schutz (also love this classic style under $80)
