There are so many concealers on the market and while I have tried so many different formulas, there are only a handful of ones that I work well for my ever changing mature skin. The needs I had for a concealer 10 years ago in my mid-30’s is not the same needs I have now in my mid-40’s. Concealers are one of the biggest challenges because I want something long wearing and creamy without turning cakey midday or settling into fine lines. I had heard about Sarah Creal Beauty on social media this past year and learned that it is a beauty brand designed for more mature skin types. It’s a luxury brand that targets the higher needs of customers who are 40+ and want multi-purpose products that focus on wear, repair and moisturization. The first product that I tried from the line was the Sarah Creal Face Flex Concealer and Complexion Enhancer and it’s quickly become one of my favorite concealers I have ever used! Wow! From the coverage, to the formula, to the longevity, this concealer is absolutely fantastic and I wanted to dedicate an entire blog post to it for anyone that may be looking for a new concealer to try.

Sarah Creal Face Flex Concealer Review

The Face Flex Concealer and Complexion Enhancer is designed to be a multi-purpose complexion product that moves with your face throughout the day without creasing or fading for up to 12 hours. I personally use it only as a concealer but it can easily be dabbed all over the face and blended out as a light foundation or complexion enhancer.

Price Point

This is a luxury brand so the price point is definitely higher than most of my other concealers. It is $58 for .3 oz.

Packaging

The packaging does feel quite luxe and heavy in your hand. There is a medium sized doe foot applicator to apply product which is pretty standard for most concealers.

Shade Range

Currently there are 10 shades in the range. The shade range is ok but still needs to be expanded further in my opinion. I think there needs to be more deeper shades and maybe one or two lighter shades offered so hopefully that happens in the future. I wear shade 2.0 and love that it helps to conceal under my eyes without being too light. I also use it on other parts of my face to conceal redness or any dark spots.

Formula

This is creamy and smooth perfection!!! Some concealers claim to be creamy and hydrating but still dry down and make my undereye area look cakey. This does not at all. It’s super blendable but does set after a few minutes. It’s moisturizing and slightly blurring.

Ingredients

I love a skincare/makeup hybrid product like this especially as someone who is more mature. It contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump, caffeine to depuff and aloe leaf extract  to soothe and calm. If you want to use this on other parts of your face besides your eyes this is the perfect formula to do so.

Longevity

The claims are correct with this one and it in fact does last all day long. No creasing for me or wearing off by the end of the day.

Coverage

The Face Flex Concealer gives medium coverage though can easily be sheered out by applying a smaller amount. For me, it is the perfect amount of coverage and manages to look absolutely flawless on the skin.

Finish

It gives a nice natural finish that mimics the look of real skin. It’s truly beautiful.

How to Apply the Sarah Creal Face Flex Concealer?

Choose the Correct Shade

While you can definitely use the same shade under the eyes as you do on the face, you can also choose one for simply brightening and another shade for concealing spots on the face. There are swatches online to help you decide on your perfect shade.

Prep the eye area

Concealer always applies better when the eye area is well moisturized. Be sure to use a nourishing eye cream before applying.

Apply only where you need

Start with a small amount and blend before deciding to add more.

Use as a foundation

Since it does give great coverage, you can use it as a foundation if you wanted and just apply to a few key areas on the face and blend out.

Sarah Creal Concealer Swatches

There are 10 shades in the range with various undertones. I wear shade 2.0 Fair Warm which works for under my eyes and the rest of my face. If I wanted to go a bit brighter under my eyes, I would use shade 1.0 Fair Cool. The 10 shades of the concealer range are:

If you need help choosing a shade, there is a shade finder option on her site that helps you determine the correct color for your needs.
