Cream blushes have continued to gain popularity over the past couple of years as an alternative to powder blush. Years ago the formulas weren’t as good as they are now so I personally didn’t use them regularly. My skin was also very different 10 years ago and powder blush suited my combination skin type. Now that I am in my late 40’s, my skin has changed drastically and I need makeup products with more moisture.

I can finally begin to put my boots away and pull out all my favorite spring shoe styles! These are styles that will take me all the way through summer and into fall. Most of the spring shoes I have in my closet are all neutral tones so they easily go with a variety of looks. While I do have some black sandals that I wear during the warmer months, most of the shoes I reach for are more white, cream and varying shades of brown. I also LOVE clear shoes for the warmer months. I have been wearing clear shoes for years and always recommend them because they can look great with literally any outfit. There is no competing color on the shoe so they automatically work with the look. And they also make my legs look so much longer!

I will forever be a knee high boot fan. Even more than ankle boots, I tend to gravitate towards knee high boots and how they can look so chic with a ton of different looks. And they are more versatile than ankle boots because they can be worn under jeans/trousers and look like an ankle boot and then also still be styled with short dresses and skirts too.

Wearing different patterns is a great way to add in some interest to your daily looks. However, mixing different patterns together in the same outfit is a high-value styling skill many find intimidating. It’s definitely something that takes some trial and error to figure out the best combinations. But if you own a ton of classic prints (stripes, florals, animal print, etc), it could be easier than you think.
