Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip BalmsLip balms are having a moment right now. And tinted lip balms are having an even bigger moment. So many brands are launching tinted lip balms and frankly, I want to try them all. LOL I love wearing a nourishing lip balm but the addition of color makes it even better. I don’t have to sacrifice one for the other and can treat my lips AND wear a lip color that I love. Naturium has an entire range of lip balms called their Phyto-Glow Lip Balms with a clear option as well as various shades in neutral and bright tones. I have both the Naturium Phyto-Glow Cafe Collection Lip Balms and the new Fruity Collection Lip Balms. This covers quite the spectrum from neutral tones to bright vibrant shades. I’ve been slowly trying more and more Naturium products and they continuously impress me. And the price points are SO affordable! Here’s my review and swatches of the Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balms in the Cafe and Fruity Collection.

Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balms Review

Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balms reviewThe Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balms are a nourishing lip balm designed to nourish the lips and leave them feeling silky, smooth and moisturized. With they can definitely be used as a treatment, Naturium launched a ton of colors that I love wearing during the day as my primary lip color. They give pigment while still keeping my lips moisturized and smooth. From the packaging to the formula, I love using these regularly and constantly recommend them to those looking for a tinted lip balm option.

Price Point

I honestly don’t know how Naturium does it but they manage to create amazing formulas at insanely affordable price points. These lip balms are $10 though they do offer bundle options for a few of the collections.

Ingredients

Formulated with shea butter and cupuacu butter to nourish and plant squalane to cushion the lips, these Phyto-Glow lip balms really deliver on comfort and moisture.

Pigment

These aren’t necessarily very sheer nor are they intensely pigmented, they fall somewhere in between in my opinion. The bolder and brighter shades definitely give a nice punch of color without being too intense.

Longevity

Since these are a lip balm formula, they are not as long wearing as traditional lipstick formulas. However, these are definitely thicker than many tinted lip balms I’ve tried and have a “grip” to them when they apply on the lips. That is the only way I can describe it. There isn’t a ton of slip so while they may move around a bit, for the most part they stay put and last 3-4 hours.

Shade Range

I absolutely love how versatile their shades are covering everything from neutrals to bright colors. My favorite shades are actually the vibrant and bold colors because they are a bit sheer so they give a nice burst of color to the lips without being too much.

Scent

The Cafe collection has a subtle vanilla scent to all the colors but the Fruity collection smells exactly like each shade name. I absolutely LOVE the scents and they really add to the entire experience of using the product.

Packaging

The lip balms come in a traditional tube with a curved applicator that is really comfortable on the lips.

Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm Swatches

Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm SwatchesThe two collections that I have are the Fruity Collection and the Cafe Collection. As you can see from the swatches, the Cafe Collection is a mix of all neutral shades that give a sheer wash of subtle color. Here’s a description of each shade available in the entire Phyto-Lip Balm collection:

Cafe Collection:

  • Mocha (dark chocolate brown)
  • Latte (muted dusty rose)
  • Spice (warm gingerbread)
  • Chai (neutral light brown)

Fruity Collection:

Additional shades available:

My personal favorite shades are Latte for a neutral peach perfect for everyday. Strawberry is the one I have been wearing the most this summer because it gives the perfect amount of color. Watermelon is a peachy pink that looks great with bronzey makeup looks.

Overall, I absolutely love these tinted lip balms and feel they are definitely worth trying. Have you tried these? What did you think?
