It’s taken me years to find jeans that I love and fit me in the best way. I’ve tried a ton of styles and these 5 are my absolute favorite by far. Some I have been wearing for years, while others are a recent discovery. These Levi’s 721 High Rise Distressed jeans in Rugged Indigo came across my radar on Instagram and I was determined to find them. Earlier this year they were always sold out, but thankfully Levi’s began to keep up with the demand and now they are in stock on a regular basis. They have a slightly higher rise which I prefer, a skinny leg but not too tight and have the best holes at the knee. My only complaint is that they are too long so I cut both of mine (I bought two pairs – whoops!) and threw them in wash to get the distressed hem. Not all jeans fray nicely if I cut them, but these are perfect as a DIY and only get better with each wash. I went with my normal size (26) rather than sizing down and they fit me perfectly.

These are the Mother Denim Looker style and it took me some time to warm up to these. At first, I thought they were too tight and looked like leggings. However, after wearing them over and over, they became much more comfortable and I appreciated that they kept their fitted shape no matter how often I wore them or washed them. They have a higher rise (always my preference), and are slim down to the ankle, which helps to elongate my short legs. I also cut the bottom of them because the inseam was a tad too long and they frayed perfectly once put in the wash. I also picked them up in white (see them in a post here and here) and love that they are not see thru or transparent. I wear my regular size in them (26) and find them get more comfortable over time. They are also a great jean to wear with tight knee high or OTK boots because they fit so snug to the leg.
I’ve been looking for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans for what seems like an eternity. I stumbled upon this pair from GRLFRND denim when on the Revolve website a few months ago. I instantly added them to my cart and crossed my fingers they would be a good fit. The style name is Karolina and they were exactly what I was looking for and have become my most worn pair of jeans. The fit is slouchy but still slim through the legs so as not to add extra bulk. I figured I should size down because of the slightly looser shape, but in the end my regular size (26) was the winner. I should note that there is no stretch to these so it takes some getting used to if your jeans typically have a lycra blend in them. I don’t even notice it now, but it did take a few wears to get used to. The length was a tad longer than I would have liked so I cut them and prefer to leave them cuffed.

I had heard tons of people raving about Topshop jeans, but wasn’t sure I would like the super skinny legging fit that many of the them have. However, I decided to try a pair in black to see what the fuss was about and never looked back. These jeans are everything! The style is called the “Moto Leigh” and they are a lighter weight cotton blend that doesn’t feel like traditional denim which makes them 10x more comfortable. It’s like a mix between leggings, pants and jeans. And to add to their almost perfect fit, they come in varying lengths so those with a longer or shorter (in my case) inseam can be accommodated. They have a high rise with a super skinny fit all the way to the ankle. These are jeans that I will never be without!

Out of all 5 styles I mentioned, the Current Elliot Stiletto jeans were the first ones I added to my closet. They have a short inseam and the perfect amount of distressing. The fit is much lower on the hips but still high enough that there isn’t any gaping at the back. I purchased them in blue first and then in white this past summer. The white in particular is a thicker denim which is always preferred when wearing white. See-thru jeans is never a cute look! Sadly the blue pair that I first purchased is discontinued, but they have come out with other washes since that I adore and will link below.
