My Signature Eyeshadow ShadesWhen it comes to my everyday makeup, I definitely have a particular look. A signature style that I have been doing for years and years. While I love wearing a full face, I want everything to look as natural and polished as possible. The eyeshadow colors that I gravitate towards to create this look are all very similar but give the most perfect everyday eye look. I regularly get questions about my eyeshadow in my social media posts so I thought I would do a roundup of my tried and true signature eyeshadow colors.

Sometimes I will branch out and try something new but I always go back to these shades and formulas. I repurchase them and look how easy they are to apply. It’s a mix of powder eyeshadows, cream eyeshadows and liquid eyeshadows and each has their own effect that I love. I like to keep things simple so most days I am wearing just one single color on my lids. I will sometimes layer one color over another which is still quite easy to do and takes me little to no time. Here are my signature eyeshadow colors and formulas:

My Signature Eyeshadow Shades

My Signature Eyeshadow ShadesI’ve had a few people ask me if I focus more on the shade or the formula. First I have to love the shade which for me is usually something in the cool taupe, golden peach or warm brown category. Then the texture or formula is next in terms of deciding what to buy. At this point I prefer something that is cream or liquid, though I have one exception in this list and want it to have a bit of shimmer. Nothing too glittery but I don’t prefer an all matte eye look look – something in between. A satin or a soft shimmer.

And it’s worth noting how something swatches on your arm or hand will often look different when worn on the lids. Some of these shades look very shimmery at first glance but once on the eye and blended out, the effect is a bit more subtle and luminous rather than a bold shimmer.

Jones Road Just a Sec Eyeshadow in Golden Peach and Topaz

I find the best way to apply these eyeshadows are with my finger since they are cream formula. I don’t love the packaging to be honest because it can be challenging to get your finger down into the pot, but the formula and colors are so stunning that I overlook this. The Topaz shade is a warm peachy brown/copper color and Golden Peach is exactly as it sounds. There is a refined shimmer that isn’t too glittery. I get no creasing from either shade and they last all day.

Armani Eye Tint in 9S

A longgggg time favorite and a formula that many of you have purchased and loved as well. This cream shadow is easy to apply, blend out with your fingers and it lasts all day long. This particular color is my most worn and gives the most gorgeous polished eye for daytime or nighttime. Especially for those that struggle with eyeshadow formulas emphasizing texture on the lids, the Armani eye tint is one of the best for helping to minimize this. It is creamy and hydrating and makes the eyes look luminous and slightly blurred which I love.

Trinny London Eye2Eye Eye Shadow in Mystery

I am in my cream makeup era and am reaching for cream products for my eyes and cheeks so much more now. Initially I thought the taupe cream eyeshadow (Mystery) was a matte shade and would possibly be too dark for my liking but as soon as I applied it, I was in LOVE! When I looked at it closer, I realized it was a shimmer finish but the shimmer is so subtle and sophisticated. The formula is a bit dry so it doesn’t stay too creamy on the lid and dries down quickly with no creasing. This color is the most subtle out of all my picks. If you work in a very conservative corporate environment or just want something that is extremely understated, this is the eyeshadow to try.

Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad in Nude Dip

Listen, the price point of the Tom Ford eyeshadow quads are absolutely criminal. And for the most part, I don’t really think they are worth it……..except for Nude Dip. I don’t know why but Nude Dip feels completely different from every other eyeshadow quad I have tried from Tom Ford. The texture of Nude Dip is a powder but manages to be so creamy and smooth. The color mix is stunning though I mostly use the top two shades, but occasionally have dipped in to the other two.

With that being said, will I repurchase this? Absolutely 100x. And it’s worth mentioning that I am going on year 5(?) maybe longer with this quad and I have never hit pan yet so for me, I can justify the price because of how long it has lasted me. Out of all the formulas in this list, this will show the most texture though it is minimal compared to most other powder shadows I have in my collection.

L’Oreal Le Shadow Sticks in Alluring Rose and Twinkly Rose

I will forever be a one and done eyeshadow gal and these shadow sticks are absolute perfection! They are smooth, creamy, long lasting and come in a ton of everyday wearable shades. I have quite a few eyeshadow sticks from various higher end brands and I can confidently say that these L’Oreal ones outperform all of those. I prefer layering so I will apply Alluring Rose first and then add Twinkly Rose on top for a bit of shine. Also, I recommend these to any one that struggles with crepey lids because they show very little texture and have a subtle blurring effect.
