I’ve been a fan of wide-leg pants especially wide leg jeans for more than a decade. I’ve experimented with very denim styles over the years but have always kept a few pairs of wide leg jeans to style from time to time. Now they have become a wardrobe staple and the denim shape that I reach for the most. I prefer a mix between a wide leg and straight leg jean so they aren’t too voluminous but not too slim. And I have various lengths that I love from cropped to ones that go straight to the floor. Wide leg jeans have made a huge comeback recently. I think they are a style that you can invest in without worrying that they are too trendy.

I published this blog post more than a year ago so I wanted to update it with my current favorites. Though I’ve been a makeup lover and wearer for more than 20 years, face powder have never been a huge presence in my everyday makeup routine. I have powders that I use and wear but nothing ever wowed me enough to truly become a staple everyday. Most powders would make me look too flat, too dry and I ultimately would stop reaching for them over time. Over the past few years, the formulation of pressed and some loose powders has drastically improved to the point that I now wear one every single day.

I have way too many lip products so if I constantly reach for the same ones over and over again, I know they are truly amazing. My preferences in lip formulas have changed significantly over the past 5 years. I still love glosses and products with a shiny finish but they have to stay put without bleeding. And if the formula isn’t glossy, it needs to have slight blurring properties to make the lips look smoother. Finally, I NEVER wore lip liner in my 20’s and 30’s but now I can’t be without it. Thankfully I have found lip liner formulas that help to define the lips without leaving a harsh line. 

Skin cycling is something I’ve been doing for yearssssss without even knowing what it was called. When a name was finally given to the process of using certain products on certain nights, I was glad that this concept was clearly identified so more people can benefit from it. It’s gained popularity as an effective skincare approach for improving results while minimizing irritation. This method rotates between exfoliation, treatment, and recovery days to support the skin barrier which allows you to keep your skin well balanced while still effectively treating your concerns.
