Boots are a necessary fall closet staple but most often are an investment compared to ballet flats or pumps. There are amazing luxury boots everywhere but you don’t have to spend a ton to get a boot that looks timeless, chic and can be worn year after year. I rounded up 10 boots under $250 (though most are under $200) that would complete any fall wardrobe.
Fall Boots That Won’t Break the Bank
Sam Edelman Sylvia Knee High Boots
Sam Edelman is one of my favorite brands to shop for affordable yet stylish boots. Most boots in this price range don’t look as sleek and expensive as Sam Edelman boots and these knee high boots are a perfect example of that. They are a classic style boot with a walkable block heel that comes in both neutral colors and bold prints.
Mango Block Ankle Boots
Most of the boots I chose from this post are classic in style and shape so you can wear them for years to come. This was the only slightly trendy boot I chose because of the large block heel and square toe but it’s still a boot I would wear season after season if you want something a bit more unexpected.
Sam Edelman Laguna Boots
I own these chelsea boots and can confirm they are one of my most worn boots year after year. They are waterproof which makes them even better but they still look like a classic casual chelsea boot.
Blondo Hylia Waterproof Booties
Another waterproof boot option that is great to wear to work or somewhere a bit dressier. The problem with foul weather boots is they don’t look great worn with professional attire. Because of this you either have to change boots when you get to your destination or wear clunky rain boots with a workwear look. These suede waterproof ankle boots are a great option!
Schutz Mikki Stiletto Ankle Booties
I have a pair of ankle boots that look almost identical to this and while I don’t wear them all the time during fall because the heel is a bit higher, I wear them frequently enough that I’m glad I bought a pair many years ago. A simple pointy toe ankle boot like this will last you years, never go out of style and will always be a great option for a dressier fall look.
Madewell The Dimes Chelsea Boots
A chelsea boot with a small kitten heel – LOVE! These are a great boot to wear with jeans and trousers especially if your knee high boots are too bulky to fit under. And if you prefer something other than a block heel but still need it to be walkable, this is perfect.
Sam Edelman Milla Knee High Boots
If you don’t want a heeled boot but still want something elevated and polished, I LOVE the look of these flat boots. A bit like a riding boot in overall style but no added details so they are the perfect simple sleek flat boot.
Banana Republic Factory Vegan Leather Dress Booties
Another great pair of kitten heel ankle boots and the price point is soooo good!
Steve Madden Skyline Black Leather Knee-High Boots
A solid block heel makes these a great choice if you plan on standing for a long time or walking throughout the day.
Sam Edelman Saige Ankle Booties
These ankle boots are a near identical style to the knee high Sylvia boots I shared earlier in the post. They have that same sleek shape that you can easily dress up or down.
