Fair Isle is one of my favorite prints to wear each winter. It’s often associated with apres ski looks, but I personally love to wear it in my regular life. Ha! There are so many chic and fun options available each year so I thought I would round up some of my favorite finds from this year. I also shared some previous fair isle looks from past years as well for more ways to style this festive print.

For the above look, I styled it with a pair of skinny jeans and a splurge-worthy pair of over the knee boots. A big fuzzy coat tops off the look creating a cozy winter look.

Most fair isle prints are quite bold so I always like to style it with a solid bottom. Either jeans, a solid color skirt or solid accessories. I let the print stand out and be the focal point of the look. I styled the above sweater with some of my favorite straight leg jeans and ballet flats.

You can opt for a fair isle print of all neutral tones or go for bolder colors, there are so many options available. And if you don’t want to go full fair isle in your outfit, you can choose an accessory such as socks or a beanie to add the print into your look.

This is definitely my go-to styling preference when wearing fair isle. A classic pair of denim and boots will always be an easy to style fair isle.

Dressing Up Fair Isle

Though fair isle is seen as a more casual print, it can definitely be dressed up! Once again I went with a solid color bottom and neutral accessories to allow the fair isle print to be the focal point of the look.

I live for a sweater dress during the winter and a fair isle sweater dress is must have. I love the idea of wearing over the knee boots and having it meet the dress. It keeps my legs warm and easily balances out the print.
