I wear bronzers all year long and they are part of my everyday makeup routine. It’s the easiest way to get a bit of sun and a healthy glow without actually having to go out in the sun. LOL I always love to add a bit of warmth into my daily makeup look but I had the hardest time for years finding bronzers that really wowed me. So many were too orange, too muddy, too patchy or not a good fit for my pale skin. Over the years bronzers have been formulated so much better and the colors are definitely more flattering and suitable for a wide range of skin tones. As I’ve gotten older and my skin has gotten a bit drier, I have been gravitating towards cream bronzers and liquid bronzers and have finally found what may be my current holy grail cream bronzer.
The Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream has been around for quite a few years and many of my readers have recommended it to me to try. Chanel products are always a bit hit or miss with me and have had more misses than hits especially Chanel foundation sadly – though I did like the Chanel Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint. Then Chanel came out with a travel size of the Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream for $40 and I decided to give it a go. From the first use I absolutely fell in love with the formula and understood all the hype. I have since used it for more than a year and it’s still my favorite cream bronzer ever. I use and love other formulas but this one still stands at the top.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream
The Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream is a gel-cream bronzer that gives a sun-kissed glow to the skin with a soft matte finish. It’s designed to apply effortlessly and give a smoothing effect to the skin. Though it has a matte finish, there are light reflecting pigments that still give the skin a subtle radiance without being too dewy or glowy. What makes it stand out to me above other cream bronzers is the balance of a soft matte finish that still makes my skin look luminous and sun-kissed.

Formula
As I shared, it is a gel-cream formulation that literally melts into the skin. It’s not too creamy or too dry, it strikes the perfect balance. And it works well worn on top of powder products and cream products. It blurs slightly in the most beautiful and subtle way.
Pigment
The pigment in the Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream falls in the mid range in my opinion. It’s not too sheer and not too intense. It’s basically foolproof if you ask me. You can apply one layer for a sheer wash of color or add another layer to build up the color a bit.
Shade Range
The shade range is not the best if I’m being honest. There are only 3 shades and while they can definitely work for a wide range of skin tones, I wish they would expand it a bit.
Price Point
It’s Chanel so it’s going to be priced steeply. That being said, I bought the travel size which was .5 oz for $40 but that was limited edition. The full size is 1 oz for $60. However I personally have not even used half of it yet and I wear it a few times a week so I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out. I can justify the price because of how it wears, how it looks on my skin and how long it lasts me.
Longevity
Though it is more of a sheer to light coverage, it lasts nearly all day on me!
Finish
Though it says it’s a velvet matte finish, I find it to be more of a satin finish. It doesn’t look too flat on the skin and gives a natural radiance to the skin.
Skin Type
I definitely think this would work for most skin types. Even though it’s a cream formula, it’s not greasy at all and has a satin finish. For those with dry skin, it is still creamy enough to melt into the skin and not emphasize any imperfections or fine lines.
Is the Chanel Les Beiges Bronzer Worth It?
I definitely feel the Chanel Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream is worth the price based on how it performs for me, how long it wears and how long the actual product lasts me. I have tested so many bronzers over the years and this continuously remains my favorite one.
How To Apply Chanel Les Beiges Bronzing Cream
Use a brush
I love to apply this bronzer with a flat top blush brush or kabuki brush. This brush from BK Beauty (discount code: MAREE10) is the one I always use with it and it blends the product beautifully.
Apply a thin layer and build as needed
I always find it best to apply cheek products with a light hand and then build up the color if needed.
Apply where the sun would naturally hit your face
Where ever you would naturally get sun, that is the best place to apply your bronzer. I usually apply it on the upper portions of my cheekbones and blend out to my hairline. I also sometimes add a bit to the top of my forehead once again blending it to my hairline. For a slight contour, you can apply it right under the jawline to create more definition.
