There is little to no scent in the Biossance Squalane Omega Repair Cream. Some moisturizers have masking scents to disguise the scent of the raw materials in the product, but this has nothing. I definitely feel this is what sets it apart from other similar moisturizers that help to protect the skin barrier. The cream has a whipped texture that is rich but not overly heavy. It’s instantly comforting to the skin but absorbs after just a few seconds leaving no greasy residue.

If you have dry or mature skin, this cream is amazing at immediately giving your skin instant hydration while also leaving it looking plump and glowy. I’ve been testing it for a few weeks, using it in my evening skincare routine as the last step. I already use a lot of anti-aging products that target fine lines and wrinkles so I did not notice a reduction in that, which I didn’t think I would. However, now that the cold weather has come, I am struggling with dry patches here and there which this helped to resolve within just a few days.

Pros Of Biossance Repair Cream

Great for sensitive skin

Even if you don’t have sensitive skin, it is beneficial to use a product that can be used by the most delicate skin types. Though there is always a chance of irritation, it significantly decreases with a formula like this.

Comfortable texture

Many rich creams may perform well but feel too uncomfortable on the skin. The whipped texture of the cream allows it to feel weightless while still helping to deeply nourish the skin.

Cons Of Biossance Repair Cream

Not suitable for all skin types

If you have oily or combination skin, this may not be the best moisturizer for you. Even if you struggle with dehydration or sensitive skin. Instead there is a probiotic gel moisturizer that would probably be a better fit.

Price point

While this isn’t deemed a “luxury” product, the price point is quite high. It’s $60 for 1.7 fl oz. That is definitely steep considering there are so many similar formulas that are priced lower.

Is Biossance – Squalane + Omega Repair Cream Worth It

I have not used many Biossance products but I can see why this cream is a best seller. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly calm, soothed and nourished. The price point is a bit high compared to other creams I have which provide similar benefits. The main difference is that this cream is certified as safe for very sensitive skin which is a huge point of distinction. The ingredients they use are not vastly different from other brands but the lack of scent does move this ahead of other products. I definitely think it is worth trying if you either love the brand or are looking for something to help treat dry, dehydrated skin.
