7 Best Everyday Lipsticks

Lipsticks are my beauty weakness. Out of all the makeup categories, I definitely have the most lipsticks, glosses and lip oils. And so many are in varying shades of neutrals but there are a handful that I consider the perfect everyday lip color. Shades that aren’t too nude on my lips and give me just enough color but still go with any eye or cheek combination I want to do. They are suitable for a more casual lifestyle but would also be a great option for the workplace. None of these are too glittery, too glossy or too over the top in terms of texture or color. Obviously these are the best everyday lipsticks for my fair skin and would look different on those with deeper skin tones or a deeper lip shade. I shared both swatches on my arm and on my lips for reference.

Best Everyday Lipsticks While many of these aren’t necessarily a lipstick, they all give a similar type coverage and wearability. I tend to gravitate towards neutral peaches or pinks with a warmer undertone. None of these are super long wearing or super matte because I like a formula that is creamy and comfortable yet can still be removed easily at the end of the day. Most of these are a sheer to medium coverage with varying degrees of staying power. I don’t mind reapplying my lip color during the day and find VERY long wearing lipsticks to be too dry or uncomfortable for me to wear (there are certain exceptions). Here are all the everyday colors I reach for the most and find to be the most moisturizing for my lips.

e.l.f. O Face Satin Lipstick in Dirty Talk

Out of all my picks, this is the most traditional type of lipstick and formula. It’s a creamy satin texture that gives medium to full(ish) coverage but still feels so smooth and comfortable on my lips. This is a one swipe lipstick and it lasts the longest out of all the options I have in this post.

Sisley Phyto Rouge Shine in Sheer Rosewood

The perfect combination between a lipstick and lip balm! The Sisley Phyto Rouge Shine in Sheer Rosewood is slightly glossy but not sticky at all! It’s super moisturizing and is the brightest color out of all my picks. It is also refillable so you can repurchase the same shade or switch it up and try something new while keeping the same original packaging.

Armani Lip Power in 103 Androgino

I actually forgot about this lipstick and brought it back into my daily rotation recently. It’s positioned to be a long-lasting satin lipstick but I don’t find it to be as long lasting as the e.l.f. formula. It gives a nice medium coverage and this color is a creamy neutral peach.

Jones Road Beauty Lip Tint in Nude Mauve

This color is the most nude and subtle out of all 7 options. It’s a pale mauve that tons down the natural redness in my lips. If I want to amplify the color a bit I will layer it over a deeper lip liner, but this is one of my favorite colors to just swipe on and go. It’s a mix between a lipstick and a lip balm and contains castor seed oil to nourish the lips.

Ilia Tinted Lip Oil in Only You

I have loved this lip color for yearssss now and still think it is one of the best lip oils on the market! It is very different from the Dior Lip Oil or other lip oils that are more clear and glass-like. This is a creamy, moisturizing liquid lip gloss that delivers a ton of color but feels silky smooth. Initially it will have some shine to it as you apply, but the shine settles down to a nice subtle satin finish.

Sisley Phyto Lip Twist in 24 Rosy Nude

I’ve been wearing the Sisley Phyto Lip Twists for 5+ years and still think they are one of the best lip crayon formulas out there! This particular color is a rosy nude and looks like my lip color but better. It’s a tinted lip balm that is very easy to apply and feels moisturizing on the lips.

Laura Mercier Petal Soft Lipstick Crayon in Amelie

This is by far one of the best matte lip formulas I have ever tried! It’s incredibly lightweight, creamy and has a soft velvety matte finish that makes your lips look beautiful. It almost has a blurring effect on the lips and this particular color is a gorgeous petal pink.
