Missha Time Revolution Night Repair ReviewI’ve slowly over the past year been experimenting more with Korean beauty specifically skincare because the feedback from those using it is always amazing. I had tried a few products here and there in the past from Peach and Lily but never fully immersed myself in the Korean skincare world. From the effectiveness to the unique textures to the affordable price points, Korean skincare is truly on another level. It can be a bit daunting knowing where to start because there is SO MUCH out there. But I have been relying on reviews from influencers who I follow and trust to help me identify different products to try.

Yes, I, too, am influenced to try things and depend on other creators to share their experiences to help guide me. Even though I am a creator and have been for 13 years, I feel like I am still a consumer and love that social media has allowed me to be exposed to products that I may never have been before. I hope to put together a blog post soon where I compile my current favorite Korean skincare products that I use and love so it can be an easy reference point for any of you needing a place to start.

A Korean Skincare Cult Classic: Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Review

I have been using Missha products for the past year and swear by the Missha BB cream as one of the best complexion products especially for dry or mature skin types. That being said, I had not yet explored their skincare range until I saw a review on the Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule (whew, what a name LOL) and had to try it for myself. This is a cult classic product for Missha and one that they have been making for years.

Over time they have worked to constantly reformulate it and make it more effective. I have their newest reformulation though I can’t compare it to prior formulas to see if it is in fact more effective. But I am loving it so I wanted to do a full post on it and introduce it to my readers because I think many of you would love it too!

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Review

In this review I will break down exactly what the Missha Night Repair products are and who I think it would be best for. The Night Repair Ampoule is the hero product from the range and the one I am using regularly. This is the fifth generation version of the Night Repair Ampoule so if you are interested in trying it be sure to notice the version so you get the most effective formula.

What Is Missha Time Revolution Night Repair?

The Missha Time Revolution is a range in the Missha beauty line that focuses on targeting a variety of anti-aging concerns. There are a few different products in the range though the star product is the Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule. The Ampoule is a targeted serum that utilizes a complex of 10 different probiotics that go through a triple fermentation process and work to revitalize the skin overnight and help improve elasticity, firmness, tone, texture and radiance. Though there are a number of products included in the Time Revolution category, the most popular are of course the Night Repair Ampoule, the First Essence and the Night Repair Cream.

Missha Time Revolution Ingredients

The first key ingredient in the Missha Time Revolution is what they call the “Extreme Biome”. It is a formula made up of 10 different potent probiotics that go through a three step fermentation process which allows the probiotics to deliver stronger results. The 10 probiotics that make up the “Extreme Biome” are: Bifida Ferment Lysate, Lactobacillus Ferment, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate, Bifida Ferment Filtrate, Lactobacillus / Acerola Cherry Ferment, Lactobacillus / Punica Granatum Fruit Ferment Extract (note: Punica Granatum Fruit is pomegranate), Lactobacillus / Soybean Ferment Extract, Lactococcus Ferment Extract, Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, and Leuconostoc / Radish Root Ferment Filtrate.

Another key ingredient is collaganeerĀ  which is a combination of white lupine seed extract and sunflower seed oil designed to help improve skin resiliency and texture.

The final key ingredient is an exclusive blend of what they call “purple energy components” which is comprised of extracts from plum, carrot, plum cabbage, eggplant, beetroot and blueberry. This proprietary blend helps to soothe, brighten and calm the skin while also protecting it from environmental aggressors.

How Does Missha Time Revolution Work?

Missha Time Revolution Essence

Use the essence after cleansing/toning, and helps prepare the skin for any serums or moisturizers that follow. While they can seem like an extra or unnecessary step, I have seen great benefits from adding in an essence to my skincare routine and have been doing so for the past 10+ years. The Missha Time Revolution Essence is a fragrance-free lightweight liquid that helps provide eight skincare benefits including: clarity, moisture, skin tone, texture, soothing, smoothing, hyperpigmentation, and protection.

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule

The Night Repair Ampoule is the cult classic and top seller from the entire range with the most potent concentration of the 10 probiotics. These 10 probiotics go through a three step fermentation process that helps to deliver an extreme boost of active ingredients to the skin. It truly targets nearly all anti-aging concerns which is why it’s so popular. This Night Repair Ampoule helps to target firmness, uneven skin tone and texture as well as deeply hydrating and nourishing the skin.

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule Cream

The Night Repair Ampoule Cream is an evening moisturizer formulated with the same Extreme Biome complex that is in the Night Repair Ampoule so it’s a great product to use to continue the benefits of the entire Time Revolution line. It’s a rich cream that you can use either alone with other skincare products or in conjunction with the entire Time Revolution range.

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Set Review

I have only used the Night Repair Ampoule so I can only speak to that in terms of my personal experience and results I saw. As with so many other Korean skincare products I’ve tested in past, I absolutely loved the Night Repair Ampoule! It was one of the those products that could replace a few different serums if you are looking to pare down your current skincare routine. It targets so many different anti-aging concerns in one formulation. It’s super lightweight and easy to layer with other serums or simply use alone.

After about a month of using, my skin looked balanced, supple and very bright. I didn’t have any irritation or sensitivity with this serum so I was using it nearly every single night and had no reactions with any other products. The results with this serum are subtle and it’s one of those products that you may not realize is doing anything until you take it out of your routine. LOL

While it does primarily target anti-aging concerns, I loved the boost of hydration this gave my skin and definitely feel it would work for nearly all ages (mid 20’s+) and all skin types. It’s very lightweight which appeals to those with combination or oily skin but still manages to be deeply hydrating for those with dry or mature skin types.

Before and After Missha Time Revolution Night Repair

Before and After Missha Time Revolution Night RepairYou can immediately notice from the before and after photos that there is an immediate hydrating and plumping effect that the Night Repair Ampoule gives the skin. It’s soothing and calming almost instantly while targeting numerous anti-aging concerns long-term.

How to Use Missha Time Revolution Night Repair

Always Start With Cleansing

Cleansing and removing makeup should always be the first step of every evening skincare routine. After cleansing, you can continue with a toner/toning pads if that is part of your lineup or you can move right into applying the Time Revolution Essence.

Apply the Essence

The proper way to apply an essence is to pour the product into your hands and then gently pat it into the face. Do not dispense it onto a cotton round and swipe across the face like a traditional toner. Essences are meant to be applied directly to the skin like a serum.

Follow with the Night Repair Ampoule

I prefer to apply the Night Repair Ampoule right after any essence I have used while the skin is still damp. If you are using multiple serums in your nighttime routine, apply them from thinnest to thickest.

Finish off with the Night Repair Cream

After you have applied your serums, you can use the Night Repair Cream as your final step of your evening routine.
