Definitely not the most exciting part of pregnancy, but a necessity for sure – maternity jeans. Even though a majority of my pregnancy will be in the summer and early fall, I knew that I needed at least one or two pairs of maternity jeans to get me through. It was not easy to find any that I liked and I must have tried on 20+ pairs before settling on 2 that were the most flattering. To be honest, I don’t love them like my normal jeans (obviously), but they give me options now instead of always having to wear dresses. The pair I am wearing in this post and this pair are the two that I have been rotating between, though I may buy one more pair in the fall in black or gray to get me through the cooler weather.
Though both pairs claimed to be “ankle” length, I had to cut them another 2-3 inches because I have such a short inseam (typically a 26″ or 27″ inseam would hit right at my ankle). These AG Jeans have a waist that goes above the belly, while my other pair go below the belly. I enjoy both, though I have a feeling that as I get bigger, the over the belly style will win out in terms of comfort. Both are insanely stretchy, more so than any of my regular jeans which is what made them winners for me. Overall, dresses will still be my clothing of choice for most of this time, but it’s nice to find an alternative for when when it gets cooler, or I just want to change it up. I am still on the hunt for maternity shorts, though as the weeks pass I realize it may not even be worth it since summer is going to be over before I know it. (Summer, don’t go!!!)
