I’ve always enjoyed skincare and made it a priority in my daily routine. This has become more important than ever now that I’m entering my late 40’s and currently in perimenopause. I’ve spent quite a bit of time exploring newer smaller beauty brands and testing out various products to see what would work for me. One brand that I have been testing over the past year is YSE Beauty. The brand was founded by Molly Sims (yes, the model) and I hate to admit this but I am still wary of celebrity beauty brands because it seems like they are flooding the market. I’m going to review each YSE Beauty product I’ve tried and give my thoughts on how they worked for my skin. I have not tried every single product from the line but I have tested the majority. So I can help you figure out what products may be worth trying.
What Is YSE Beauty?
The actual pronunciation of the name is “wise” beauty and was founded by model Molly Sims. Molly shares that she struggled with everything from cystic acne to hyperpigmentation and dark spots nearly her entire life and wanted to create a line that helped address many of these concerns. Her focus is for people who use the products to feel more comfortable in their bare skin so they don’t always feel like they have to conceal imperfections or always wear makeup. Most of the products are skincare focused with a few makeup hybrid products that provide skincare benefits with a subtle tint or additional glow added to them.

YSE Beauty Your Favorite Ex Exfoliating Pads (discount code: MAREE-15)
I love these exfoliating pads and use them three times a week to give me a nice chemical exfoliation. I’m pretty picky about my exfoliating pads not being too strong or too gentle. And this manages to be the perfect balance. It’s formulated with glycolic acid which helps to slough off those dead skin cells and improve skin texture. It also contains gluconalacotone which has anti-inflammatory properties. Even though it resurfaces, my skin still feels nicely hydrated afterwards instead of tight or irritated. I also LOVE the shape of them because they are a dual-textured pad with a pocket that you can fit your fingers into and easily swipe across the face.

I have tried more under eye masks that I care to count and NONE have stayed in place like these do. These do not move once you place them under the eyes! Most eye masks will slip down as I am wearing them. But these stay in place perfectly and really help to hydrate and smooth out the under-eye area. They are not wet or damp like other eye masks which helps them adhere to the under eye area perfectly. There is an instant cooling sensation when you put them on which I love. The masks are formulated with vitamin c, peptides and allantoin to help smooth fine lines and reduce puffiness. I’ve repurchased these more times than I can count and recommend them to everyone!
YSE Beauty Skin Glow Illuminating 3-in-1 Primer (discount code: MAREE-15)
I wear SPF every single day as the last step before applying makeup. If the sunscreen I’m using is too dull or flat, I will often applying a luminizing primer over top the SPF before foundation because it gives my skin a bit of life and radiance under my makeup. This glowy primer manages to combine all of these things together in one product. Currently there is only one shade. And while it isn’t completely universal, it will work for a wide variety of skin tones. The texture is thick but not greasy and gives a healthy glow to the skin without being glittery.

This is a newer discovery and I have immediately fallen in love with this formula. It’s incredibly thick and almost has a jelly-like feel to it that envelopes the lips instantly. It has a high shine so I can wear it during the day. And it looks beautiful layered over any lip color. However, it is especially effective at night when I apply a thick layer before bed.

I typically use a vitamin c serum every single day in my morning skincare routine because vitamin c is a great antioxidant that helps to provide protection against environmental aggressors.
