Dressing does not get any easier than a shirt dress. It’s a piece that can go from day to night and is absolutely perfect for limited suitcase space, as was the case this past weekend. Zipping out to the Blue Iris Bed and Breakfast in the North Fork of Long Island for a quick 4 days, my husband and I planned a nice relaxing trip of winery tours, sight seeing, and massive amounts of seafood eating. I recently picked this dress up on Piperlime and have been waiting patiently until my trip to wear it. As you can see (and probably have already guessed), it’s a classic neutral that will go with just about any accessories and easily transition to my work day week attire nicely with a pair of heels and non-wind blown hair. I paired it with what may actually be the most comfortable sandals in all of the universe…..that’s a big statement, I know. But I have had these Rachel Zoe flats since last summer and can get about a 100 miles to the walk in them without a single blister. I have seen a similar pair by Michael Kors, which I like as well, but think the gold hardware detail gives these an extra bit of pizazz (that’s the technical term). It was nice to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind for a few days of respite……though clearly we still made time for outfit shots at every possible location we came upon. Sigh….a blogger’s work is never done.
