Spring normally kicks off the warm weather vacations especially if you live somewhere cold and are over all the freezing temps. I like to have a good selection of outfits for a variety of events or places but often just adding some fun accessories can make these looks vacation ready. Here is a round-up of some spring outfit ideas that would also be perfect for a warm weather vacation.
Spring Outfit Ideas For a Warm Weather Vacation
Slip Skirt and Tee
Tee | Cardigan | Skirt (similar) | Shoes | Bag | Sunglasses
There are so many great places to wear a look like this and it can easily be dressed up or down. A slip skirt is one of my recommended closet staples because of it’s versatility. This look is a great option for dinner but I personally would wear this walking around, sight seeing or shopping too.
Linen Pants and a Crochet Sweater
Sweater (similar) | Pants | Shoes | Belt | Bag | Sunglasses
This outfit screams warm weather vacation in the most chic way. Mixing different shades in the same color family is an easy way to create a polished and cohesive look. Linen pants are a must have for a warm weather vacation because they are so lightweight and comfortable.
Lightweight Floral Maxi Dress
Dress (similar) | Shoes | Sunglasses | Bag (similar)
This look is so breezy and comfy but is a great outfit to wear on almost any warm weather vacation or even as a spring wedding guest. Add some neutral heels and a neutral bag is the easiest way to style a dress like this. But if you have a particular color found in the dress that you want to add as an accessory, definitely choose that for a pop of color. If all of your accessories are neutral (much like myself LOL), I often add that bit of color in the form of a bold lip.
Linen Blouse and Printed Pants
Shirt | Pants (similar) | Shoes
In my mind when I think of a warm weather vacation outfit, this is exactly the kind of look I imagine. Fun and bold printed pants styled with a classic linen shirt to balance out the bright pattern. I don’t always love tucking in my shirts to a thin fabric like these pants so instead I will tie the shirt up. It adds a casual vibe to the look that is definitely right for vacation.
Smocked Maxi Dress
Dress (similar) | Shoes | Bag (similar)
My favorite part of getting dressed in spring and summer is how easy it is. Throw on a comfy dress, sandals, a cute bag and you are ready for the day (or night). A dress like this looks great with heeled sandals and a clutch, but you could also wear some cute white sneakers and a denim jacket to make this dress perfect for any daytime activities you have scheduled.
Striped Button Down Blouse and White Shorts
Top | Shorts | Shoes | Bag | Sunglasses
Although denim shorts are often seen as a very casual item to style, I love elevating them a bit with a crisp button down blouse. And though these slides were a major splurge, I bought them nearly 7 years ago and still wear them every spring and summer. They are comfortable yet are not as casual as flip flops so I love wearing them with more polished looks.
Matching Set
Especially when traveling, I highly recommend bringing at least one matching set if not more. The reason being is that it’s an easy outfit to put together yet you can also break up the set and mix it with other pieces in your suitcase. Depending on how many days long the vacation is, I often lose steam by the end trying to put together cute looks so a matching set is always appreciated for when I don’t want to think about what I’m going to wear. This particular one is for Amazon and is one of the most comfortable sets I own. It would also make a great swimsuit coverup!
Floral Blouse and Denim Shorts
Top | Shorts | Sandals | Bag | Sunglasses
A warm weather vacation is the best time to wear all the prints that you may not wear in your day to day life. Farm Rio is one of my favorite brands for bold prints and they embody the vibe of a warm weather trip. I personally like wearing a print with denim to balance out the look and then put some neutral accessories with it to let the print be the star of the outfit.

Monochromatic Outfit
Blazer | Tank (similar) | Pants (similar) | Shoes | Bag (similar) | Sunglasses
If you are someone that doesn’t love wearing dresses or skirts, but still want to have a dressy outfit for a night out on your vacation – consider silk or satin pants. The sheen to the fabric instantly elevates the look but most of the time the fit of the pants are flowy which makes them so comfortable. I love the idea of creating a monochromatic look with the pants but you can always switch it up to make it suit your style. And if there is one piece of clothing that is a must have on a warm weather vacation, it is a white blazer. It can be dressed up or down and will go with every outfit you packed.
White Dress
I may not get tan from the sun during my warm weather vacations, but you can bet that I did a ton of self tanning before leaving so it looks like I am sun kissed. And nothing looks better with tan skin than a white dress! I found this one on Amazon and the details are absolutely beautiful. So unique and the fit is perfection.
Bold Print Maxi Dress
Dress (similar) | Belt | Bag | Sandals
I don’t wear a ton of maxi dresses in my day to day life but when I think of a warm weather vacation, I immediately think of wearing a flowy fabulous maxi dress. LOL And honestly it’s one of the best pieces to pack because it’s loose, comfortable and perfect to wear in the heat.
