Drugstore makeup finds can be hit or miss with me. Sometimes they are phenomenal and sometimes they really miss the mark. And even further, the formula could be great but the color range is off so it still doesn’t work. But when I find something from the drugstore that successfully hits both the formula target and the shade range target, I have to share it! I already love the L’Oreal True Match Foundation and find it to be one of the most beautiful natural finish foundations with great medium coverage I have in my entire makeup collection.
However, sometimes I want a formula with a bit less coverage and if it has additional moisture that is a bonus – which is exactly what the L’Oreal True Match Nude Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Serum Foundation gives me! The name is ridiculously too long and frankly hard to remember but the formula makes up for this in the best way. LOL And after trying the Tinted Serum Foundation, I tested the L’Oreal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer and fell in love with that too! Here’s a full review of the Tinted Serum Foundation and Radiant Serum Concealer with swatches of the few shades I have.
L’Oreal True Match Serum Foundation and Concealer Review
L’Oreal True Match Nude Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Serum Foundation Review
As I have gotten older, I definitely find that lightweight foundations and skin tints look better on my face. I have tried this Tinted Serum Foundation before but had the wrong shade so this time I got the correct shade and fell in love with it even more. It’s designed to be lightweight skin tint with skincare benefits – most specifically hyaluronic acid which helps hydrate the skin.
Texture
Don’t let the name of this foundation fool you, I don’t really feel like it’s a true serum texture. It’s not thin and runny like a serum and has a thicker texture much like a foundation. But product names aside, the texture is still lightweight and super easy to blend. It truly feels like I am not wearing anything on my skin – so weightless!
Packaging
Ugh, I’m sorry to say that the packaging is not good. It has a dropper applicator which completely baffles me because the formula is way too thick to come out of a dropper. For this reason, I plan to purchase a separate pump and hopefully that will make it easier to get out.
Finish
Absolutely stunning. Truly. This tinted serum foundation looks absolutely beautiful on the skin. It gives a natural skin finish that isn’t too dewy or too matte. It’s the perfect balance. I feel this would work really well on almost any skin type too.
Longevity
This foundation lasts longer than almost any of my other foundations in my entire collection. WOW! I put it on in the early morning and my face looked perfect nearly 9+ hours later. No pulling, no separating, just hydrated fresh skin.
Coverage
It covered everything I needed it to cover perfectly. It’s sheer at first but can be built up a bit on any particular areas I want more coverage.
Price Point
It comes in right at $20 which is a great affordable price point especially for how amazing it performs.
Ingredients
The addition of hyaluronic acid is definitely a bonus and I can see how it really helps to make my skin look more hydrated and smooth.
Color Range
The range is not as extensive as the True Match foundation (which has 47 shades), but I was quite impressed at how well my shade matched. I wear shade Very Light.

Very Light was a perfect match for me and did not oxidize throughout the day. Rosy Light was a tad too dark for me though I probably could make it work in the summer when I wear self tanner more regularly.
How to Apply the L’Oreal Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Serum Foundation?
Wear Alone or Layered Under Another Foundation
I definitely feel like this Tinted Serum foundation gives enough coverage to be worn alone but the hydrating benefits of it would also make it a great base under a heavier foundation.
Apply With a Brush
I personally like to apply the tinted serum foundation with a brush and then take a damp sponge at the end to blend it out a bit more.
Purchase a Pump
I am currently looking on Amazon to find a pump for this because the dropper applicator is just awful and messy. If you don’t want to get a pump, I recommend tapping the product onto the back of your hand and applying from there. I don’t love the idea of wiping the dropper wand on my face which is what you basically have to do because no product actually drops out.
L’Oreal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer Review
I have a few serum concealers in my collection that are all quite amazing so I was not sure how this drugstore version would compare. Like the Tinted Serum Foundation, the L’Oreal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer contains skincare ingredients that help to hydrate and smooth the under eye area. It’s can be used anywhere on the face that you want to conceal. I had high hopes for this concealer after loving both the foundation and tinted serum so much and I am happy to say that it lived up to my expectations.
Texture
Much like the name implies, the texture is smooth and lightweight like a serum. It blends easily and makes the skin look well hydrated.
Coverage
For me this gave medium coverage with just a few dots under my eyes. I can build it up slightly but it won’t totally be full coverage.
Longevity
This concealer lasted nearly 8 hours on me with little to no creasing or moving. I didn’t need to set it with a powder either – it set beautifully on it’s own.
Shade Range
The shade range is ok if you have fair to medium skin, but the medium dark to deep dark shades could be expanded upon further.
Ingredients
The two main ingredients that are front and center in the messaging are hyaluronic acid for hydration and caffeine for puffiness. I didn’t notice a difference in puffiness using the concealer but this formula is very hydrating and makes my under eye area look smooth and well moisturized.
Applicator
The applicator is iron shaped designed to have a flat surface for delivering an adequate amount of product, a pointed tip for hard to reach areas and a broad edge for easy blending. I definitely liked the shape of the applicator and felt it was easy to use.

I find myself reaching for N1 most of the time but if I want a bit more brightness under the eyes, I will go with W1. I do wish that N1 was a tad brighter because the difference between N1 and W1 was quite significant considering they are both supposed to be the same shade number just with different undertones.
Have you tried these yet? What did you think?
