In my makeup, I love an all neutral look. However with clothing, I like to experiment with color and prints often. But when I put this outfit together, I loved the subtle tones all worn together! My typical go-to for animal prints is leopard, but this snakeskin pattern was done well so I decided to give it a try. I paired it with my nude wedges, though I can easily see this dressed up with high heeled sandals or even pumps for a work appropriate look (if your office is a bit more casual). The fact that it cinches at the waist gives it the perfect drape without overwhelming my figure with fabric. My Proenza Schouler bag has been the purse that I’ve been reaching for the most over the past few weeks. I love that it has both a top handle and a shoulder strap. It’s so versatile and looks great with so many outfits (see it here also).
The weather is beginning to really heat up down here, and I feel bad almost saying this but I sometimes miss the cold weather. Only occasionally! When it gets super humid and muggy, but then I think about the -8 degree days I had to endure for so many years and it helps snap me out of it. LOL Thankfully my hair is managing the humidity better than I anticipated – though I attribute it to curling it each morning. I find that it helps smooth out the hair and keeps it more manageable. Of course, there is also this hair primer that I swear by and have been using for more than a year. It takes a village to manage this mane, ya know?
I’m on the hunt for a bathing suit for an upcoming beach trip – anyone find styles they love? Leave me a comment or tweet me with the link because I need suggestions!
