As a certified fall LOVER, shopping for fall pieces is my favorite thing. I love the beginning of fall because it lets me wear those pieces that don’t make sense other times of the year. Short-sleeved sweaters, shorts with boots, sweaters with sandals, etc. The weather manages to cool and warm at the same time so I love to embrace that with my outfits. Outerwear is the cornerstone of every fall wardrobe. So choosing blazers and jackets with a bit of drama allows for them to the focal point of the look. And then keep everything else neutral and simple.
Belted Midi Shirt Dress
A midi length shirt dress is a great early fall piece. Something that covers a bit more but isn’t full winter appropriate. I love the neutral tone of this but the pop of blue on the sleeves makes it so much more interesting.

I have a pretty extensive collection of lady jackets/cardigans because they are classic yet still on trend for the season. This is a great option for those who live somewhere warm but still want to embrace a fall sweater.

Stiff high-neck collars will be everywhere this fall. Here’s a classic bomber jacket that is timeless yet still very much on trend for the season. Or really push the limit and style it with a silky slip skirt to blend a bit of masculine/feminine styles in one look.

A slip skirt is one of those key wardrobe pieces that you may not wear all the time, but it will never go out of style.
