Hourglass Vanish Pressed Powder ReviewI love so many things from Hourglass – it is by far one of my favorite makeup brands. The Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder is my go-to loose powder for setting my makeup. It’s a blurring, soft matte formula that makes my skin look velvety without being too dry. Hourglass just added on to their setting powder collection with the new Vanish Airbrush Setting Pressed Powder. It’s a talc-free pressed powder designed to reduce shine and give an airbrushed finish to the skin. I can confirm that is exactly what I found it to do. Especially as someone who is in my mid-40’s and has skin that doesn’t always look great with too much powder on it, I strive to find products that can help prevent or remove unwanted shine without adding too much texture or making my skin look too dry.

Here is my full review of the Hourglass Vanish Airbrushed Setting Powder and a look at how my skin looks before and after. As always, I have an Hourglass discount code that works for 10% off their entire site if you want to try the pressed powder for yourself. Use my code: MAREE at checkout.

Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Pressed Powder Review

Hourglass Vanish Pressed Powder ReviewI’ve noticed that powders have progressively gotten better over the years and brands are making an effort to make them more invisible and less powder-y. Obviously that seems like an oxymoron but there is definitely a love/hate relationship with powder makeup products. You want the option to take away shine without making your face look too flat or too dull. Hourglass has managed to make the impossible possible with the Vanish Airbrush Pressed Powder. It blurs, mattifies and smooths all in one.

Packaging

As always, Hourglass packaging is stunning and so luxe. The pressed powder comes with a puff in the compact which I actually like using.

Price Point

Hourglass is definitely a luxe brand and the pressed powder is priced in this category. It is $54 (though you can use my discount code: MAREE for 10% off!)

Formulation

This is a talc-free pressed powder that is designed to blur and minimize the appearance of pores without settling into fine lines.

Coverage

This is very sheer coverage that just removes shine without adding any additional pigment or color.

Shade Range

There are 5 shades in the range: Translucent, Translucent Light, Translucent Medium, Translucent Tan and Translucent Deep. I have both Translucent and Translucent Light but find very little difference between the two.

Longevity

It is designed to be long-wearing but I found it to last about 6-7 hours for me instead of all day. That being said, I am fine with that level of longevity and would prefer to touch up as needed throughout the day.

Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Pressed Powder Before and After

Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Pressed Powder Before and AfterYou can see from the picture without the powder, I get shiny in my t-zone and cheek area. Once I apply the powder, it immediately removes the shine and blurs the area. Pores immediately appear minimized and any texture on the skin seems to disappear.

This new Vanish Airbrush Pressed Powder has been the pressed powder I have been reaching for all summer long and will definitely continue to use going into fall!
