Cool-Toned Taupe Eyeshadows Perfect For Everyday

I usually gravitate towards a neutral eyeshadow for everyday. Something that is beige, champagne or slightly pinky, but recently I am loving a cool-toned neutral taupe for my eye look. It’s a subtle change but I’ve found a handful of shades that look natural, don’t turn too warm on my skin tone and are perfect for that everyday effortless makeup look that I love.

6 Neutral Taupe Eyeshadows I Love

Ilia Beauty Eye Stylus Shadow Stick in Adorn

Most of the eyeshadow colors I gravitate towards are champagne or rosy in tone, but I wanted something more in the cool taupe family. This shade was absolutely perfect and applies beautifully. If you are someone who loves the ease of a shadow stick, this is a great option. The pigment is quite intense at first but blends easily into a sheer wash of color.

Armani Eye Tint Liquid Eye shadow in 67S and 9S

A longgggg time favorite and a formula that many of you have purchased and loved as well. This cream shadow is easy to apply, blend out with your fingers and lasts all day long. The two shades that I reach for the most which offer that cool-toned taupe shade I love are 67S and 9S. 9S is the more opaque formula while 67S is a sheer shimmery shade that can be worn alone or used as a topper to a satin or matte shadow.

Trinny London Eye2Eye Eye Shadow in Mystery

Initially I thought the taupe cream eyeshadow (Mystery) was a matte shade and would possibly be too dark for my liking but as soon as I applied it, I was in LOVE! When I looked at it closer, I realized it was a shimmer finish but the shimmer is so subtle and sophisticated. The formula is a bit dry so it doesn’t stay too creamy on the lid and dries down quickly with no creasing. I recommend this to everyone looking for an eyeshadow shade to wear to the office. It’s pigmented enough to create some dimension to the lid but doesn’t really look like you are wearing anything at all. It’s a must try!

Chantecaille Luminescent Eyeshadow in Selenkay

Powder eyeshadows are not my preferred texture because they can emphasize texture on the lids. But this formulation is absolute perfection. Smooth, creamy and blends like a dream. The shade Selenkay is what I fell in love with more than the formula. It’s a gorgeous subtle neutral taupe with the slightest hint of radiance not shimmer. It gives the lids a glow rather than looking too glittery.

SheGlam Crystal Jelly Glaze Stick in Starlit Silver

This is a bold glittery eyeshadow shade but I still wear it all the time. It looks great worn on the inner half of the lids to add some sparkle. You can wear it alone but I prefer to layer it over another eyeshadow like Mystery from Trinny London. This is the perfect sparkly topper to any eyeshadow and adds the perfect amount of shine.
