Yellow is such a hit or miss color for me but I have been loving it this summer (see another yellow look here and here). This easy breezy tank is so comfortable for the humid weather we have been having – I love how flowy and loose it is! However, this past weekend was just rain on and off, even when I took Miles to his first birthday party on Sunday. He was such a hoot there and loves to be around tons of commotion and people. He likes to take it all in and watch everyone and everything that is happening. Initially when we walked in he began to cry a bit because it was a tad overwhelming, but I found a quite spot and just gave him a few minutes to adjust and then he was super calm and relaxed the rest of the party!
I also spent this weekend watching the Sex and the City marathon that was on (it’s the 20 year anniversary of when it first aired, how did that happen?!!!), and catching up on the podcast I have been following. I prefer crime and mystery podcasts and loved the first season of In the Dark and have been patiently waiting for a second season. And so far the second season has lived up to my expectations. It delves into the horrific murder of 4 innocent people in a furniture store in Mississippi. A man named Curtis Flowers was convicted of the murder and sentenced to death. However, as the host of the show shares more and more details of the case, it creates doubt as to whether Curtis actually committed the crime. And because of prosecutorial misconduct and mistrials, Curtis has been tried by the prosecutor 6 times for this crime over the past 21 years (double jeopardy does not apply in these instances). The season is still going on and I am fascinated to know if this podcast will affect a possible 7th trial and what more she has uncovered. What podcasts do you love and listen to?!!
