Since the weather has been extremely mild during the month of December (I will never complain about a mild winter!), Stan and I took advantage of it earlier this month and spent the morning wandering around Bryant Park. The ice skating rink was up, the tree was all decorated and there is a fun holiday market to wander through. This was actually the day before my spine surgery so I knew that it would be a few weeks before we were able to shoot again (I have to wear a neck brace when I leave the house for the first month – #trendsetter), so I wanted to go somewhere enjoyable and fun. I knew when I first purchased this faux shearling vest that it would be one of my most worn pieces this winter, and I was right. I originally wore it in this post with all black, but I grab it when I don’t feel like wearing a jacket but still need an additional layer. I paired it with my J.Crew silk blouse, which is one of my favorite styles of silk blouses (I also love these silk blouses and this is one of my favorite brands to buy patterned silk blouses). And of course jeans and boots is just about all I live in during the winter – and this is either my 2nd or 3rd year with my Rag & Bone boots which I cannot recommend enough! I’m not fully back up to speed yet with my recovery, but I am slowly getting my blogging mojo back and I am excited to get back to shooting more outfit posts in the new year (though I am not looking forward to the weather in which we shoot during the winter – ugh).
