While I love my casual summer dresses and shorts, I still need to have pieces in my wardrobe appropriate for a more professional situation. My office is business casual but there are many instances when I need to look a bit more refined for meetings or presentations, so I picked this dress up recently at Aritzia as a great alternative to a standard shirtdress. The neckline, sleeves and material gave it a bit more of a polished look, but the color felt more exciting than basic black. And while I always am hesitant to pick a button-up style because I have a larger chest (32E – yes, we’ve been over this, I hide it well), this had enough room so there was no gaping between the buttons. Though if I ever need it, I am not opposed to using a bit of Hollywood fashion tape to help reinforce any space between buttons. I have an upcoming video on my fashion and accessory closet staples and this tape is an absolute must have.
